This package focuses on a pure action pack filled adventure with highlights on Kathmandu, Pokhara, Jungle safari, river rafting and paragliding. On offer here is a moderate level adventure. This program example aims at schools putting emphasis on physical outdoor education as a tool for inspiration and motivation for academic achievements. We will start with mountain scenic flight, where you will see entire Himalayan range including Everest and all eight 8000m giants.
We will fly to Pokhara where we start and finish trek to Annapurna Sanctuary. This will take us to Annapurna Base Camp (4179m) and to one of the best views in the world from Poon Hill(3200m) of two 8000m giants: Annapurna(8091m) and Dhaulagiri(8167m). You will explore mountaineering base camp the climbers use to climb 8000m peak. During this segment of the trip you can learn and experience the following: Himalayan geography, elements of Buddhism and Hinduism, high altitude medicine, trekking experience, remote location experience, interaction with different non-threatening and non-confronting cultures, mountaineering history.
After the trek we explore Pokhara and take 45 minutes paragliding flight from Sarangkot 700m above Pokhara. We will leave Pokhara early in the morning for 2 days of white water rafting on incredibly beautiful Seti River through very steep canyons between Pokhara and Chitwan National Park. We will spend 2 night in Chitwan National Park enjoying jungle safari, where you can see, ride and play with elephants. During this segment of the trip you can learn and experience the following: rafting and kayaking skills, jungle ecology, cultural experience, elements of geography and geology.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to Hotel
Day 02 : Early morning we depart Kathmandu for the 7 hours drive by tourist deluxe bus to Pokhara (915m.), 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu. We have leisurely afternoon in Pokhara where you can enjoy the tourist village atmosphere and your choice of local restaurants. We stay overnight in Pokhara
Day 03 : It will take about 90 minutes to drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to the trailhead at Nayapul (1050m.). We start trekking from Nayapul (1050m.) to Tikhedhunga (1577 m.) via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about 4 hours at moderate pace. The elevation gain of 500m is relatively gradual and ideal for the warm-up stage
Day 04 : Today we trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2675 m.). It takes about 6 hours with initial steep ascend to Ulleri (2070m.) negotiating many hundreds of relentless steps for about 2 hrs. Once in Ulleri the path moderates and after another 4 hrs passing through another Magar village Banthanti we reach our destination for today, the village of Ghorepani, where we stay overnight in a comfortable lodge.
Day 05 : Early morning gefore breakfast we make a short trip to Poon Hill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri , Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Varaha Shikhar , Mt. Annapurna I , Lamjung Himal and other numerous snow-capped mountain peaks, it is unforgettable experience. After breakfast we trek to Ghandruk (1950m.) which takes about 7 and half hours.
Day 06 : From Ghandruk we trek back to the trailhead in Nayapul via Birethanti, which takes about 5 hours and we take a drive to Pokhara, where we stay overnight at our Hotel.
Day 07 : We take a drive to the start of our rafting adventure at Damauli, some 2 and half hrs from Pokhara. We will raft for some 3 hrs to our camp site on the beach in the jungle setting near Sarangghat.
Day 08 : We continue our rafting to Gaighat until early afternoon and take a drive to Chitwan for the jungle safari program. The safari program includes many activities conducted over two days. Park rangers will schedule all activities. We finish the day enjoying sunset over the river and a drink in the bar located at the river banks and stay overnight in the jungle resort.
Day 09 : Second day the jungle safari activities will include elephant bathing, elephant riding and the opportunity to close encounters with these magnificent and highly intelligent creatures. You will be able to come close to the elephant and interact with them including touching and patting. You will be amazed with their dexterity, gentleness and intelligence. You will be able to bathe in the river with the elephant. While riding elephants through the jungle we will hope to see rhinos, maybe tigers, dears, giant pythons and more. Rangers also arrange other activities such as nature walks, canoeing and bird watching. We will spend second night in the jungle resort.
Day 10 : This is our last day in the jungle with the last morning activities such as bird watching or a short discovery walk before breakfast. After breakfast we will depart to Kathmandu on the bus along scenic Trishuli River gorge. We will stay in Thamel.
Day 11 : We take one hour scenic mountain flight early in the morning, which will take us to the top of the world to admire spectacular vista of Everest and all other 13 highest peaks in the world, all over 8000m as well as hundreds of peaks over 6000m. After the scenic flight we will continue sightseeing in Kathmandu visiting Kapan monastery and significant temples and gompas of Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Swayambhunath. We will conclude the day with well deserved Farewell dinner.
Day 12 : After breakfast we’ll arrange transfer to the airport for your flight or alternatively you can join another tour.
