Kathmandu Day Mountain Biking Tour
If you enjoy Mountain Biking and wish to experience as much of Nepal as possible in a week holiday this 'Around Kathmandu Mountain Biking' tour is an excellent option. This is a 1 to 5 days biking trip on the ridge-top trails which encircle the Valley's rim. We travel along little-used dirt roads away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Only a short bike ride away lies a delightful world of wooded slopes, small villages, hidden temples and the views which include all of the principal peaks of the Nepal Himalaya - from Makalu to the Annapurnas providing some excellent, easy to semi - technical single track riding along old jeep roads. During these five days we will experience all of the sights, sounds, tastes and smells that make up life in Nepal’s 'Middle Hills'. We will visit the historic cities of Patan and Bhaktpur, hill resort of Nagarkot with its sunrise view of the entire Nepal Himalaya and the temples, monasteries and picturesque villages tucked away in the forests along the way. We are so close to the bustle of Kathmandu, but so far off the beaten tourist trail.
Introduction to Kathmandu
Kathmandu(1400m) history dates back an impressive 2000 years. It is located centrally in Kathmandu Valley with its metropolitan area consistings of three cities: Kathmandu (Kantipur), Patan and Bhatapur. Thamel the old part of the city with quaint short and narrow streets, numerous nooks and crannies contains hotels, restaurants, offices and shops. Durbar Square, world heritage site, is important and fascinating place to visit, containing numerous Hindu temples, statutes of various Hindu deities and the palace of Kumari, the living goddess. Other important place is Pashupatinath, the biggest Hindu temple in the world, considered the most significant for Hindu followers attracting numerous pilgrims and colourful Sadus; for many Hindu it is a preferred cremation site on banks of Bagmati River. There are two significant Buddhist Gompas in Kathmandu Swayambhunath and Baudhanath, and also world heritage sites. Nagarkot, the highest hill in the range surrounding Kathmandu Valley, some 35km from the city centre offers unprecedented view on Langtang range and some of the giants beyond the range such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Cho Oyu and Shishapangma.

Kathmandu-Tolkha- Kathmandu Day Tour
A great beginner’s ride that takes you on an easy climb away from Kathmandu and then back down hill through typical villages and farmlands. There are some chances to test your skills on sections of single track. Visit the ancient temple at Tolkha for a picnic lunch before returning to Kathmandu.

Kathmandu-Jamcho- Kathmandu Day tour
A challenging climb through the National Park Jungle. The reward for your hard work is a brilliant decent on a rough and ready jungle trail, not to mention breathtaking views from the top. Hardcore riders will love this three to four hour circuit.

Kathmandu Scar Road Day Tour
One of the most talked about and challenging rides in the Kathmandu Valley. Commences with a 34km climb on the winding paved road that leads to Trishuli and the heart of Langtang. Once at the top turn off and climb up the last 5 km steep section of road. On a clear day the views of the Himalaya are pretty spectacular. Once in the national park the trail becomes narrow and technical. Traverse the jungle with a cliff drop on one side and test your technical riding with some fast and furious downhill. Be sure to keep your eyes on the trail and not the mountains though!

Kathmandu-Chobar-Lele-Godwari- Kathmandu Day Tour
A longer, scenic ride in the southern end of the Kathmandu Valley. The trail undulates through the country side and small villages of Newar and Tamang people before making a sharp accent to the Dhanda where views of Kathmandu Valley open up before you. There is the option of a challenging single track or a switch backing jeep track to get down to the valley. A great, full day ride for the intermediate rider on mixed jeep track, country road and trails.
