Mr. Bodha Raj Bhandari

Mr. Bodha Raj Bhandari is the Chairman of Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition.  His carrier in travel business extends over 20 years with Bhandari Tours and Travels (P.) Ltd. established in 1990.  Bhandari Tours and Travels is our umbrella organization. Our Chairman is well known and respected in travel industry. During his 20 years long career in travel industry he has gained a practical experience with organization of tours, travel and teahouse trekking. He has worked with many trekking guides, climbing guides, tour manages and range of support staff creating much needed employment through his entrepreneurial skills and contacts, ensuring high standard of service to the clients through his staff couching and mentoring abilities.
He is renowned and respected through his social work with guides and staff as well as with broad community making social welfare high priority on his work agenda.
Mr. Bhandari is nationally recognized and respected figure in Nepal through his work with many tourism industry organizations such as SOTTO-NEPAL, VITOF-NEPAL as well as NATTA.
As a Chairman he brings to our company not only wealth of experience but he is also role model for all our staff and management with his uncompromising attitude to social welfare as the priority of every individual of the nation.

Mr. Rishi Ram Bhandari

Mr. Bhandari is the Managing Director of Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition (P.) LTD. Rishi has had a long-time connection with trekking and expedition since his childhood. Mr. Bhandari born in Naudanda village, some 20km away from beautiful city Pokhara, and perched on the hill in the backdrop of holy mountain Machha Puchhre (Fishtail). He began his career as a trekking leader in 1999, and has developed his tourist industry experience through hand-on practice as trekking guide, expedition base camp manager to the level of operation manager and director of the trekking and expedition agency. He has successfully completed Nepal academy of tourism & hotel management in 2001, which is endorsed and sponsored by the  ministry of culture tourism & civil aviation. He has completed mountain claiming guide course with Nepal Mountaineering Association mountain school. He has worked since 1999 as a tour and trekking officer in Bhandari tours and travels, including three years as expedition manager for Monterosa Treks and Expedition to support both Nepal and Tibet side operations. Rishi has become Managing Director of Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition (P.) Ltd in 2009. He has also participated in many activities; training and workshops conducted by KEEP, NTB, TAAN, IPPN, and IATA and achieved appropriate completion certificates. He enjoys nature and working with mountaineering expeditions and continues to lead treks whenever the opportunity presents itself, especially those at high altitude,  to remain in touch with his clients. Rishi believes that this is type of management tool to keep up to date with reality in the field and to keep improving the quality of service of the company. He is well verse in English, German. He has led many treks and expeditions in Himalayas to Annapurna, Lang Tang, Everest region and Tibet. He has also climbed peaks above 6,500 meters including Mera and Island peak.

Mr. Tony Olejnicki

Mr. Tony Olejnicki was Snowy Treks & Expedition Australian affiliate and now he has joined us as an Operations Manager for our new Australian Office. Tony is a communications engineer with the degree from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia and has extensive business experience in Australia. He is a passionate climber and adventurer. He lived and worked in Seattle and he climbed extensively in NW of the USA, New Mexico, Arizona, California, British Columbia and Alaska (Denali). Tony lives in Brisbane and enjoys climbing trips to New Zealand, where he climbed many peaks including mt Aspiring and mt Cook (Hooker Face). He also climbed in Mexico, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina (Aconcagua Polish Glacier-solo). Tony enjoys both technical rock climbing as well technical alpine style climbing. He travelled many times to Nepal and loves the country and its people. He attempted Cho Oyu and Lhotse. He graduated from Boealps mountaineering course while living in Seattle. He had long friendship with Rishi and decided to join Snowy Trekks & Expeditions to help with marketing and communications as well and to take new challenge and experience different way of life. He is contributing to marketing, communications and expeditions logistics.

Mr. Tika Subedi

Mr. Tika Subedi is the Branch Office Manager of Snowy Horizon Treks & Expedition (P) LTD in Saitamaken, Japan. Mr. Subedi was born in Sarangkot, a village located 800m above Pokhara. He has worked in a tourism sector for over ten years on a number of important assignments. His personal interest and dedication to tourism field has enabled him to achieve significant successes during his career. With his unstoppable high commitment and his deep concern to offer safe, comfortable and memorable journey to his guests Tika enjoys friendships and recognition of many of his international customers. After his certification level he moved to Belgium to complete graduate study level, where he met Japanese lady; They have married and have lived in Japan for last three years. He has travelled to many countries such as Singapore, Thailand, UK, Germany, Belgium and many others European country. He has good command of various languages French, Dutch, Japanese, English and Nepali.

Mr. Hari Ram Bhandari was born at 1986 in Dhikurpokhari Village -04 Kaski. He becomes Tour Manager at Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition from July 2011. He had born in main tourism hub and attractive point of Nepal Annapurna and has deep imprecation about tourism from his childhood school life. He has done 12 in commerce from Higher Secondary Education Board. He is interested in tourism from the beginning of his knowledge. He has worked in tourism sector from 2005 as a ticketing and marketing officer indifferent company. Mr. Bhandari employee as a Senior Tour Manager to Snowy Horizon treks and Expedition Company with a bunch of high energy young men each with a great sense of humor - which comes in very handy. He has also participated in many activities; training and workshops conducted by KEEP, NTB, TAAN, IPPN, and IATA and achieved appropriate completion certificates. He enjoys nature and working with mountaineering expeditions and continues to lead treks whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Mr. Bishwa Raj Bhandari was born in Dhikurpokhari Kaski, Nepal. He graduated from Tribhuwan University. He has joined the tourism industry in 2001 as the front officer of the hotel as part of after graduation work experience. He enjoyed working with tourists and joined travel agency to enhanced and continue his career in Travel Industry. At present he works as a Tours manager in Snowy Horizon Treks & Expedition.

Guru Triathee was born in Kalikasthan near Pokhara an important tourist canter of Nepal, the gateway to Annapurna region. He completed a post graduate course in English language and hence he is fluent in English, which is an invaluable asset to our company. At present he works as a tour guide in Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition (P.) Ltd. He has many years of experience in tourism hospitality and develops his career as tour manager.

Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Gorkha district has many years of experience in travel and tourism. He has graduated high secondary school degree with English as a major. He has worked now for over 11 years in tourism services including work as the trekking guide. He had successfully guided trekkers in the major trekking areas of Nepal in Everest, Annapurna, Langtang trekking areas.

Bibak Pandey of Nuwakot district has over 10 years experience in travel and tourism. He has completed high school degree with English as a major. He has lots of enthusiasm for and has guided trekkers for most of his carrier. He has had guided successfully in the major trekking areas of Nepal including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang areas. He has completed several training courses and he is certified trekking and mountaineering guide..

Ganga Bahadur Magar
Position:  Professional Trekking Guide.
Experience: Trekking Guide since 2002.
Training: Trekking Guide Training through NATHM (National Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management
Basic Computer Course.
Personal Profile: Mr. Ganga Bahadur from Jubhing-09, Solukhumbu born in 1984 is a professional trekking guide since 2002. Despite his young age he has a decade of experience in guiding in the several trekking areas. He has graduated as a guide from NATHM. He is friendly and has good communication skills in English. He has worked with Snowy Horizon since its establishment as a senior trekking guide.

Nima Sherpa

Personal Profile:  Born in 1988 in Diktel-7, Khotang  Mr. Nima Sherpa now resides in Kathmandu. He is an experienced Trekking Guide since 2006 and worked as a cook in trekking trip since 2005. He enjoys guiding and trekking has worked with Snowy Horizon as a professional trekking guide.

Mingma is one of our most experienced Himalayan Guides with great personality and exceptional ability to work with and taking care of his climbing clients. He is very serious about his work but exhibits a high sense of humor giving customers a real sense of Nepalese Sherpa culture and first class climbing experience. His English is sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking and he has a repertoire of humor for all occasions and situations to make the climbing experience not only safe but fun as well.

He joined NMA Mountaineering school where he developed his professional approach to climbing and guiding. With many years of climbing and guiding experience he has become one of our most experienced and valuable Sherpa guides. He has great Sherpa personality confident, strong, caring for customers with great sense of duty and humor making ‘Climbing with Sherpa’ experience memorable and safe. He is very serious about his work but exhibits a high sense of humor giving customers a real sense of Nepalese Sherpa culture and first class climbing experience. His English is sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking and he has a repertoire of humor for all occasions and situations to make the climbing experience not only safe but fun as well.

Personal Profile: Lakcha Sange Sherpa was born in Sankhuwashava Makalu Village in the Makalu Valley and he now he lives in Kathmandu. Living and growing in one of the most spectacular moutaineering areas of Nepal he follow his calling and after tough training in NMA he fulfilled his dream and joined the ranks Brotherhood of climbing Sherpa Guides. In his carrier so far he achieved 17 summits above 8000m and ranks up there with the best. Lakcha Sange has held the role of climbing Sardar since 1990 proving him to be an excellent Sherpa leader and the motivator on the mountain. He led Snowy Horizon Island Peak Expedition in 2009 and guided Baruntse expedition in 2010.

Dawa Jamba Sherpa

Mr. Dawa Jamba Sherpa was born 1977 in Yaphu- 09 Sankhuwasava Nepal is one of our more experienced climbing guide. Everest, Cho-Oyu and Shishapangma are his specialty. He has executed successful climbs on May Mountains summiting such peaks as Manaslu, Barunche and Gamigila. He has joined Snowy Horizon team as a professional climbing Guide (Sherpa) which will enhance our capacity and help our clients with successful summit ascends.

Pamba Choti Sherpa

With a successful K2 summit behind his belt, Pamba Choti is one of our most experienced Himalayan Guides with great personality and exceptional ability to work with and taking care of his climbing clients. He is very serious about his work but exhibits a high sense of humor giving customers a real sense of Nepalese Sherpa culture and first class climbing experience. Personal Profile:  Mr Ang Geljen Sherpa born in Juving-01, Solokhumbu in 1973 is a highly skilled, trained and experienced climbing guide.  He is energetic professional mountain climber living in Kathmandu. His NATHM training as a trekking guide, KEEP training in first aid and NMA Rock climbing, Ice climbing and mountaineering training in combination with dedication to his work and determination allowed Ang Gelien  to succeed in leading his clients to summits of several peaks and mountains of Nepal’s Himalayas. He has guided many climbers from various nations from Chulu East to Everest and helped them to achieve the ultimate goal of the summit.
Mr Ang Geljen has been affiliated with our company as a climbing guide since 2009 and his professional experience has enhanced and strengthened our mountaineering capabilities.

He is one of the valued mountain climbing guides affiliated with our company Snowy Horizon.

Mr Dorchi Sherpa born in1979 in Makalu-9, Sankhuwasabha has established his mountain climbing reputation in Nepal with impressive achievements of several significant summits such as Everest, Manaslu and Lhotse and a number of significant 6000m and 7000m peaks. His mountaineering experience in Nepal and India are a valuable asset to utilize by any new peak climber or expedition climber. Mr. Dorchi has been affiliated with Snowy Horizon Company since 2009 and works as a Peak and Mountain Climbing Guide.g

He is strong and energetic in supporting climbers in the peak climbing and he has worked as a climbing guide with Snowy Horizon since its establishment.

Training: Professional guide certificated by Nepal Government and Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA); general and technical training in Manang. He has also a formal training and certification as Trekking and Mountain Climbing Guide from Mountain Climbing and Trekking Guides Associations.
Personal Profile: Ngang Lhakpa Sherpa was born in Churi Kharka village in Solukhumbu area on the famous pathway to the Everest base camp. Witnessing throngs of Everest summiters in his childhood he heeded his call to become Sherpa climbing guide and joined the NMA Mountaineering school in Manang, where he developed his professional approach to climbing and guiding. With many years of climbing and guiding experience he has become one of our most experienced and valuable Sherpa guides. He has great Sherpa personality with maturity, caring for customers with great sense of duty and humor making ‘Climbing with Sherpa’ experience memorable and safe. He is very serious about his work but exhibits a high sense of humor giving customers a real sense of Nepalese Sherpa culture and first class climbing experience. His English is sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking and he has a repertoire of humor for all occasions and situations to make the climbing experience not only safe but fun as well.

Lhakpa Tashi Sherpa

Position: Climbing Guide
Summit Experience: Mount Everest (x 4) from Nepal via South col, Manaslu (X1) Shishapangma British rought (X 1) Cho-Oyu ( X 2) Island peak (x 3), Mera peak (x 2), Pisang Peak (x 1), Chulu East and West (x 1) and he is our sardar for Mera and Island peak
Training: He attended three courses within Khumbu Climbing School, including first aid training. He also completed a week-long medical course at Khunde.

Personal Profile: Lhakpa Tashi Sherpa has passion for climbing and many years of climbing experience and living in high mountains. He has Basic English sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking. He has summited Mount Everest in 2008, 2010 and 2012 from south route and also summit Manaslu, Cho-Oyu, Shishapangma and Tilicho with high bunch of power. He summited many more mountains over than 6000m. He has a formal training and certification as Trekking and Mountain Climbing Guide from Mountain Climbing and Trekking Guides Associations and Nepal Mountaineering association.

Personal profile: Mr. Funaru Sherpa is a devoted, disciplined and active Climbing Sherpa Guide. His personality and experience in the field of mountaineering and expedition are valuable to the new climbers associating with him as a team member. Since spring 2006, he is continuously involving in climbing and expedition profession and had achieved to make his climbing member success almost all the time. He had to face several unfortunate circumstances during the summit period of several mountains and peaks and he cleverly managed the difficulties and turn into the success. Personal Profile: Mingma Tenjin  Sherpa has passion for climbing and many years of living and climbing experience at high elevations in most of Himalayan ranges. Tenjin is one of our most experienced Himalayan Guides with great personality and exceptional ability to work with and taking care of his climbing clients. He is very serious about his work but exhibits a high sense of humor giving customers a real sense of Nepalese Sherpa culture and first class climbing experience. His English is sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking and he has a repertoire of humor for all occasions and situations to make the climbing experience not only safe but fun as well. He is one of the people who take mission to summit all 8000m mountain before 2015.

Personal profile: Mr. Nurbu Jangbu Sherpa is a devoted, disciplined and active Climbing Sherpa Guide. His personality and experience in the field of mountaineering and expedition are valuable to the new climbers associating with him as a team member. Since spring 1977, he is continuously involving in climbing and expedition profession and had achieved to make his climbing member success almost all the time. He had to face several unfortunate circumstances during the summit period of several mountains and peaks and he cleverly managed the difficulties and turned the situation into the success. Nurbu is one of our most experienced Himalayan Guides with great personality and exceptional ability to work with and taking care of his climbing clients. He is very serious about his work but exhibits a high sense of humor giving customers a real sense of Nepalese Sherpa culture and first class climbing experience. His English is sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking and he has a repertoire of humor for all occasions and situations to make the climbing experience not only safe but fun as well. His experience more that 3 decades in the mountaineering field is itself a far better than any kind of training. Moreover, we can say that he is a coacher rather than a Climbing Sherpa guide only.

He has Basic English sufficient for communication during climbing and trekking. He has a formal training and certification as Trekking and Mountain Climbing Guide from Mountain Climbing and Trekking Guides Associations.

Indraman Tamang

Position: Professional Cook.
Experience: Trekking Cook since 2000 Trekking Guide since 2006

Mr. Indraman Tamang is a professional cook for camping trekking. Born in Kerung-5, Solukhumbu, in 1978 he is not only good trekking guide but also an excellent cook so he is a great asset for the company. He has Trekking Guide qualifications from TAAN and Cook Training from NATHM. He has been an experienced guide as well as cook in Trekking and Climbing trips since 2000. He is affiliated with Snowy Horizon since its establishment as a professional Trekking Cook.

Gyan Prasad Tamang

Position: Professional Cook.

Personal Profile: Mr. Gyan Prasad Tamang is a professional cook for camping trek. Born in Kerung-5, Solukhumbu  in 1967 he is both trekking guide and cook as required. He graduated Trekking Guide School from TAAN and Cook Training from NATHM and has worked as an experienced guide as well cook in Trekking and Climbing trips since 2000. He is now affiliated to Snowy Horizon as a professional Trekking Cook.

Pemba Tamang

Position: Professional Cook.

Personal Profile: Pemba Tamang born in Kerung-05, Solukhumbu in 1986 is a very professional trekking and climbing cook. He graduated Cooking and Baking courses from NATHM and has gained his experience in Cooking for trekking trips since 2000. He has become an outstanding performer in cooking for small to large trekking and expedition groups. His friendly, active and energetic behavior as well being cooking perfectionist for all kinds of cousins continental, Mexican, Italian and high mountain food has made him a highly demanded trekking cook.

Anup Rai

Personal Profile: The resident of Yakpu-8, Sankhuwasabha district where he was born in 1978 Mr. Anup Rai started his career working as a kitchen helper for trekking, climbing and expeditions. After graduating as a Cook from National Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) he has become a professional trekking cook. Since graduation he had successfully handled the job of a head cook for our trekking groups in autumn 2011.
