One of the challenging rout of trekking is Salpa pass treks(5310,m), is offered by Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition in Nepal. The Salpa Pass trail is an interesting to walk into the Everest region following the Arun Valley. This trekking trail is known as an antique trade route used by local people to transport agricultural products to Namche Bazaar to Tibet across via the Nangpa la pass. Salpa pass is situated on the Makalu region just above Arun valley towards Lukla. The pass gives good views of the mountains to the north. We pass by along the holy lake Salpa Pokhari, beautiful waterfalls and many Sherpa villages.
This trek begins from Tumlingtar and follows the Arun River until we turn into the Irkhu Khola valley. The highest trekking point in this route is Salpa Banjang at 3800m high and the highest camp site is at Salpa Kharka at 3600m. This trek is almost easy which offers you superb views of Mera Peak, Everest, Makalu, Amadablam and pumari.

Itinerary Details of Salpa Pass Trekking
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar(750m) this takes approximately takes about 25 minutes.
Day 03: Trek from Tumilingtar to Chewabesi (400m), This takes about five hours
Day 04: Trek from Chewabesi to Dangmaya (1800m) this takes about five hours.
Day 05: Trek from Dangmaya to Salpa Phedi(3000m) this takes about six hours
Day 06: Trek from Salpa phedi to Gudel (2400m) via Salpa Pass (5310m) this takes about six to seven hours
Day 07: Trek from Gudel to Gai Kharka (2450m) via Surkie la(3100m) this takes about six hours
Day 08: Trek from Gai Kharka to Pankongma la (3200 m) this takes about five hours
Day 09: Trek from Pankongma La to Lukla(2800m) this takes aboutfive hours
Day 10: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu(1300m)takes about 25 minutes.Overnight at Hotel
