This is an excellent choice for those who are looing for a short hike or have limited time and yet want to experience a short and easy hike. Shivapuri is popular wildlife reserve and it is the second highest hill that surrounds the Kathmandu valley. This trek starts at Budhanilkantha from where you will be able to view the central and eastern mountain ranges, the sunrise and sunset. It also offers a good introduction to Nepalese rural life. The end of the hike offers one of two options either at Nagarkot or at Dhulikhel. This hike can be done any time of the year as each season adds particular beauty and majesty to this hike. The viewpoint at Nagarkot offers memorable experience of the magic of mountain vista. The village of Nagarkot is located on the edge of the valley and it offers superb views of the mountains as well as Kathmandu valley.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel (1350m/4426ft)
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Budhanilkantha (Narayanthan) [about ½ hour]; Hike from Hike from Budhanilkantha to Shivapuri Lekh (Baghdwar) [about 4 ½ hours]
Day 03: Hike from Shivapuri Lekh (2523m/8270ft) to Dhap via Chisapani takes ) [about 5 hours]
Day 04: Hike from Dhap to Nagarkot ) [about 5 ½ hours]. Your trek to Chauki Bhanjyang takes about 2 ½ hours
Day 05: Hike from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel ) [about 6 hours]
